The Nutcracker

We had a girls day starting off with the Nutcracker, then lunch, then home to put up the Christmas Village. Emerson really enjoyed the Nutcracker and was especially thrilled to meet some of the cast members after the show. Fun day!

A Very Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a really fun Thanksgiving Day at my parents house spending time with my cousins, aunt and uncle. The kids opened some early Christmas presents that kept them very happy and busy. It was a wonderful day and I stopped several times to look at all my loved ones that surrounded and me and thank God for the many blessings in my life. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Dress-up

 

Emerson would wear dress-up clothes every day. Blake, however, has never liked to dress up. I have forced him to dress up every Halloween of his life. So I just had to take this picture when he and Emerson were playing and I went in the room and saw this- I was so happy! The spiderman gloves and face were part his original Halloween costume this year that he refused to wear. The fireman jacket had never been worn until this day. Hooray! AND... he has actually put it on a few times since then:)

Just a bit of Christmas!

Blake and Emerson decorated their trees in their rooms as soon as we got all the Christmas boxes out. Their trees are full of all the ornaments they have made themselves. As they pulled out ornaments, they remembered them from last year and where they got them or made them. It's neat to see that they already have memories of Christmas. I can tell this year is going to be loads of fun creating more special memories.
